I am interested to know how many ‘decision’ have been registered and how many ‘disciples’ have been linked to a local church?

I also wonder if you have come across Natural Church Development which seeks to help churches reach auch a state of health that the church grows “all by itself” i.e., Acts 2 where ‘the Lord added to the church those who were being saved.’

  2. Hi Neil

    Great to hear from you.

I have had various reactions when sharing the gospel with others. I never aim at getting a ‘decision’: I don’t want to rush people through to some sort of forced prayer. I prefer to challenge them to look in to the bible to see if what I am saying is true. I tell them of what God requires them to do: repent and believe in Christ alone. My real goal when I witness is to Glorify God through proclaiming who He is and what He has done for sinners. I also have compassion for the lost and a desire to see them delight and marvel in God.

As for Acts 2, I think that the only way that people can become Christians is if the Lord does actually does it. I guess there is such a thing as sick or healthy churches. Mark Dever wrote a book about it, giving 9 marks for a healthy church.

    Thanks for your questions
